FanTree is an online marketplace where fans get access to exclusive products promoted by their favorite athletes. The team at FanTree does all the heavy lifting – marketing targeted products, strengthening relationships with select charities as well as evaluating buying behaviour to create more meaningful products for the future.
I sounds like a cliché, but “mobile first” was the key to this project. The main way users interacted with FanTree was by entering a product page on their phone – usually following a link posted within a tweet. For this reason, we needed a really robust menu design that supported multi-tier browsing without feeling too overwhelming.
One of my favorite parts of FanTree was the partner portal. Here, celebrities (or celebrity agents) could track their earnings, schedule tweets and Facebook posts as well as get relevant fan insights. Over past two years, we’ve continued to work with the FanTree team on various portions of their business – ranging from UX and UI all the way pitch decks and incentive tracking structures. I’m looking forward to our continued collaboration.
