The homebrew scene is rapidly evolving and there is a growing need for visual distinction – even at the smallest level. I helped develop the personal brand of residential brewer Myke Welch. A unique identity was created by using location references as well as a custom mascot design.

Giving travelers an edge.

Tripbam has a unique positioning within the hotel booking industry. Capitalizing on rate fluctuations, the web-based service lets users select a cluster of hotels. Tripbam then automatically re-books the best room price within the cluster up until shortly before their trip. The project included the design for a fully responsive web application and marketing website along with a UI style guide.

A new look for my hometown.

Essen, Germany, has become quite an amazing destination. It was crowned Kulturhauptstadt (European Culture Capital) in 2010 for embracing its industrial past through the adaptive reuse of historic factories and mines. To celebrate this renaissance, I updated its coat of arms to include the current symbol of the city: Zeche Zollverein.

Inspired by the Judgmental Maps series, I created my own illustrated map of Dallas. The intent was to highlight key areas within the city by using a combination of architectural landmarks and icons that capture more abstract concepts.
