Outward Bound California needed a new identity for their Boundless capital campaign. I developed a logo system and a series of marketing materials with a bold and motivating feel – integrating iconic California locations while strengthening the Outward Bound parent brand.

I designed a logo badge for Outward Bound California's annual fundraiser in which participants rappel from the roof of the Hilton San Francisco Union Square. The logo portrays SF in unexpected ways – combining clouds, skyscrapers, the Bay Bridge and the ocean in a clean and memorable emblem.

The cloud-based ad management software Ad Sales Genius was looking for a t-shirt design to create intrigue and connect with their audience on a deeper level. I was able to help, by creating a custom Instruction Map™ that depicted the ad sales process. Starting with the sales team and continuing to production and accounting, this intricate flow chart shows all the steps involved.

Cypress North, a digital marketing and development agency I work with from time to time, needed help relaunching their client's web presence. Acting as the design lead, I developed the positioning strategy and visual identity Brock, Schechter + Polakoff, a Buffalo-based CPA firm. Our goal was to project the feeling of balance and capture the personality of the team: a diverse group of experts who take a step back to find out what headwinds their clients are facing – working closely with them, side-by-side, to solve unique challenges in a personable way.

I worked with the Goodnature team to develop a diagram that explains the juice production process in a commercial kitchen using their X-1 cold-pressed juicer. I opted for an isometric approach and elaborated on the illustration style I had previously developed for Goodnature.

How to make a salad.

The visualization of recipes has been a long-time interest of mine. This Instruction Map™ shows how to make a Korean-inspired Banh Mi Salad. In addition to explaining the steps involved, it illustrates ingredient ratios and assembly. The design relies on a variety of stylistic elements – including icon illustration, data visualization and product photography (a first for me).
