A culture of balance.

Cypress North, a digital marketing and development agency I work with from time to time, needed help relaunching their client's web presence. Acting as the design lead, I developed the positioning strategy and visual identity Brock, Schechter + Polakoff, a Buffalo-based CPA firm. Our goal was to project the feeling of balance and capture the personality of the team: a diverse group of experts who take a step back to find out what headwinds their clients are facing – working closely with them, side-by-side, to solve unique challenges in a personable way.

Carver Pump, a centrifugal pump manufacturer, was looking to update their identity and reimagine their website. I positioned their company, designed their brand and developed a set of supporting touchpoints with the unifying theme: Built for purpose.

I worked with the Goodnature team to develop a diagram that explains the juice production process in a commercial kitchen using their X-1 cold-pressed juicer. I opted for an isometric approach and elaborated on the illustration style I had previously developed for Goodnature.

How to make a salad.

The visualization of recipes has been a long-time interest of mine. This Instruction Map™ shows how to make a Korean-inspired Banh Mi Salad. In addition to explaining the steps involved, it illustrates ingredient ratios and assembly. The design relies on a variety of stylistic elements – including icon illustration, data visualization and product photography (a first for me).

With a clean aesthetic and a nod to the past, it's the balance of contemporary and vintage that defines Crown + Buckle Black Label. From brand story to identity design, I helped branding agency, Motto, with the development of their client's sub-brand.

Vision2 is a cloud-based giving platform for churches with a mission to free up their customers – giving them more time to grow their church and become better stewards. I developed a campaign that conveyed their message.

Booze and Gatsby.

Re-live the end of prohibition with this protest poster, complete with an embedded moonshine distillation process diagram and other fun 1930’s references. The design is brought to life with detailed art deco-inspired line work – tying back to the glamorous look of the Gatsby era.

I designed a series of bottle labels for Goodnature, the leader in cold pressed juice presses. As part of the project, I further developed the icon style, I designed previously, to include more colors and shading. The goal was to create a compelling set of illustrations that jumped off the bottle.

I had the great privilege of working with Oven Bits on their content + commerce platform for iOS and Android. As an integrated team member, I helped with the user experience and interface design on native apps for Lush Cosmetics, Imprint Edition and Rainbow Shops.

Born out of the frustrations of the corporate work environment, Corporate Vitamins is a little satire mixed with irony. I was hired to design a series of posters that visualized some of Corporate Vitamin’s humorous statements.

Art deco-fying brewcraft.

For the 2016 Brew Riot home-brew competition, I evolved our loose, sketchy illustration style to incorporate more detail. Inspired by the ornamentation of art deco, this set of beers features prominent Dallas buildings – tying back to our architecture theme.
